The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the registration deadline for students who will sit the Matric and Intermediate annual exams in 2028. As per the latest information, schools will now have registration open until November 6, 2026, for their Class 9 and Class 11 students. The earlier deadline was October 24.

The extra time is meant for schools that could not finish registering all eligible students before the cutoff. The entire process is online. Class 9 students will take the Matric (Class 10) exam in 2028, while Class 11 students will take the Intermediate (Class 12) exam that year.

Where to register

Registration is done by school heads, not by students, and each class has its own portal:

  • Class 9 (Matric 2028): secondary.biharboardonline.org
  • Class 11 (Intermediate 2028): intermediate.biharboardonline.com

Schools need their authorised user ID and password to log in and upload student details.

How schools can complete registration

  1. Open the relevant BSEB portal and log in with the school's credentials.
  2. Enter the details of every eligible student whose registration is still pending.
  3. Then, complete the formalities and pay the fee as directed by the board.
  4. Check the submitted information, finalise the registration, and keep a copy of the records.

What students and parents should do

Students whose registration is pending should get in touch with their school without delay and hand over any documents the school asks for.

Students should know that submitting details to the school does not mean registration is done. It is advisable that they should confirm with the school that the online process has actually been completed, and schools should double-check the entries before final submission.
