The JEE Main 2027 application process is set to begin shortly on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Though the JEE Main 2027 application form takes only a few minutes to fill, but small errors can cause trouble later: a rejected form, a wrong exam city, or a mismatch with your certificates.
1. Using a wrong or shared email and phone number
NTA sends all updates and OTPs to these. Use your own active number and email, not a parent's, a friend's or a cyber cafe's.
2. Spelling your name or date of birth differently from your records
Copy both exactly as they appear on your Class 10 certificate. A mismatch can cause problems at admit card and counselling stage.
3. Uploading photos and signatures that don't meet the specifications
Blurry, oversized, or wrongly cropped files get rejected. Check the size and format given in the information bulletin before uploading.
4. Picking the wrong paper
Paper 1 is for B.E./B.Tech, Paper 2A for B.Arch and Paper 2B for B.Planning. Choose according to the course you want, and check whether you need more than one.
5. Choosing exam cities carelessly
Pick cities you can actually reach. Select your preferences in order, since allotment depends on availability.
6. Paying the fee wrongly, or not downloading the confirmation page
A form without fee payment is incomplete. Keep the transaction ID and save the confirmation page as a PDF and a printout.
7. Leaving it for the last day
Portals slow down near a deadline. Apply early so you have time for corrections.
Candidates must know that the JEE Main Session 1 and Session 2 need separate forms and separate fees. Applying for one does not register you for the other.
Keep ready before you start: Class 10 certificate, ID proof, photograph and signature scans, and category or PwD certificates if you need them.
