JEE Main 2027 registration begins: Check Session 1 exam dates, eligibility criteria, fee here

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the JEE Main registration session 1 for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2027. Candidates who are looking for admission to undergraduate engineering, architecture and planning programmes can submit their JEE Main 2027 application forms through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

As per the official notification, JEE Main session 1 last date to apply without a late fee is November 22, 2026. Candidates are advised not to miss the deadline can submit their applications between November 23 and 26 by paying an additional fee of Rs 500.

JEE Main 2027 Session 1 will be conducted in January, while Session 2 is scheduled for April. Candidates should check the important dates and eligibility requirements before completing the registration process.

• Registration begins: October 24, 2026
• Last date to apply without late fee: November 22, 2026

JEE Main 2027: How to apply online

In order to apply for JEE Main Session 1 2027, candidates need to follow these steps to complete the application process:

• Visit the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Click on the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 application link.
• Register using the required personal and contact details.
• Log in and fill out the application form.
• Enter academic details and select the examination paper and preferred exam cities.
• Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
• Pay the application fee and submit the form.
• Download the confirmation page for future reference.

JEE Main 2027 eligibility criteria

Candidates who have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2025 or 2026, or are appearing for the qualifying examination in 2027, can apply.

Also, candidates should know that there is no upper age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2027. Candidates can take the examination for three consecutive years, starting from the year they first appear for their Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination.

However, admission eligibility may vary across institutions.

JEE Main 2027 Application Fee

1. General category: ₹1,000 for male candidates and ₹800 for female candidates.
2. General-EWS/OBC-NCL: ₹900 for male candidates and ₹800 for female candidates
3. SC/ST/PwD/PwBD: ₹500 for both male and female candidates.
4. Late fee: An additional ₹500 may apply during the late-registration window.
