In a major breakthrough in the shooting incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch has recovered two firearms and 10 live cartridges from Surat, Gujarat. The recoveries were made on Friday following disclosures by the key accused, according to a report by The Indian Express.
The three primary accused, Rehan R and Phool Singh from Sonipat, Haryana, alongside Ritik Kurmi alias Roshan from Bihar, were apprehended in Kota, Rajasthan, before being brought to Mumbai earlier this week. The trio has been remanded to police custody until October 31.
During court proceedings, investigators revealed that while the weapons were tracked down to Gujarat, the accused had destroyed two mobile phones used during the operation to erase digital evidence.
As part of the expanding probe, authorities have sealed an Andheri hotel room where the three key accused allegedly stayed prior to the attack. Sources indicate the Crime Branch is investigating reports that the shooters conducted practice firing rounds at an undisclosed location before launching the attack. Officials are also expected to recreate the crime scene with the accused in the coming days.
The court was informed that the firing was allegedly orchestrated at the behest of an absconding accused, identified as Anil Pandit in the police remand application. Four individuals linked to the conspiracy were produced before Mumbai’s Esplanade Court (Killa Court) on Thursday and remanded to custody until October 26.
The incident occurred around 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 18, outside a football club in Juhu. Two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fired five to six rounds at Shroff’s vehicle before fleeing the scene. While the actor escaped unhurt, his driver and a bystander sustained injuries during the firing.
Following the incident, Tiger Shroff’s official team issued a strong public statement warning against the circulation of fabricated news, unverified claims, and AI-generated videos falsely attributed to the actor.
"Team Tiger categorically clarifies that the actor has not issued any statements, released any videos, or authorised any communication concerning the recent firing incident," the statement read, adding that strict legal action will be initiated against platforms and individuals creating or spreading fake content.
