Udta Teer box office collection day 1: Udta Teer, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, hit the big screens on Friday following decent pre-release buzz and mixed reviews from film critics. Backed by an average response in advance bookings, the action-comedy witnessed a modest opening at the domestic box office on its first day.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Udta Teer earned Rs 4.10 crore net in India on Day 1, with its total gross collection standing at Rs 4.83 crore.
While the opening remains low for a star-led release, the film managed to marginally outpace Ayushmann and Sara's previous collaboration from earlier this year, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2, which collected Rs 4 crore on its opening day before ending its theatrical run as an average grosser.
While the makers are yet to officially declare the budget for Udta Teer, as per a report by Free Press Journal, the film's production cost is estimated at approximately Rs 65 crore.
Against its reported budget, the Day 1 figure falls short of expectations. The film now heavily relies on positive word-of-mouth to deliver a strong surge in earnings over the weekend to establish a stable box office trajectory.
Udta Teer faced a box office clash on Friday with the release of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. The Hindi romantic comedy collected a modest Rs 0.50 crore net across 2,136 shows on its opening day, taking its total India gross collection to Rs 0.60 crore.
Released on October 23, 2026, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar follows the story of three corporate friends who attend their high school reunion in hopes of reconnecting with their first loves.
Udta Teer centres on Bilal Ahmad (played by Ayushmann Khurrana), a highly trained Pakistani spy who infiltrates India’s Counter-Terrorism Squad operating under the cover identity of Vikrant.
