Popular American YouTuber MrBeast made a surprising appearance at a promotional event in Mumbai, joining director Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, and Namit Malhotra on stage. A lighthearted moment occurred when paparazzi greeted the creator with "Jai Shri Ram." Looking momentarily confused about how to respond, MrBeast turned to Ranbir Kapoor, who prompted him to repeat the chant. The YouTuber quickly joined in and chanted "Jai Shri Ram" to the amusement of the crowd.
During the event, lead star Ranbir Kapoor spoke candidly about taking on the legendary role and what the story represents. He explained that Ramayana and Shri Ram are deeply etched in our collective subconscious minds, noting that Lord Rama never tried to act like a typical hero. Instead, he is celebrated as Maryada Purushottam, the ideal man who gave up a life of royal luxury to fulfil his father’s promise and uphold his duties. Emphasising that Dharma translates to duty, Ranbir expressed hope that the film will offer audiences a meaningful introduction to Indian culture and history. Later in the ceremony, the actor also offered prayers and symbolically lifted a Shiv Dhanush.
Ramayana is scheduled for a multi-language rollout across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Part 1 is slated to arrive globally on November 5, 202, while the second instalment is already in production and planned for a theatrical release in Diwali 2027.
