Several clips from the episode circulated online, evoking mixed reactions from the netizens.

One of the moments that drew particular attention was Vijay’s revelation that Rashmika had to propose to him nearly 100 times before he agreed to marry her. Reacting to this, many social media users labelled Vijay “red flag.”

Before Vijay, Rashmika took to Instagram to respond to the ongoing controversy.

“My lil’ 2 cents on this whole issue concerning me and Vijju. I generally don’t address these things because everyone has a right to their opinions. Sometimes, I even enjoy reading them and gaining a different perspective. But the current frenzy over our interview feels less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to vent at. Somewhere along the way, the whole point got lost. Maybe it didn’t fit your lens. Maybe some of you simply don’t want to see it. I’m writing this because I want to protect the people who believe in love, and I hope everyone gets to find their own version of it,” she posted.

“We’ve been bombarded with opinions, comments and unsolicited advice on all our profiles, mine and yours, unnecessarily. The conviction with which people came at us genuinely shook me a little. I was like, WHAT THE FK IS GOING ON? So I took a step back, thought about it, and here’s my lil’ take on my own life. First, it was never about the number of times or an entire year. That’s where some of you got stuck. Yes, that conversation happened. But neither of us was looking for a grand proposal. The conversation was about him wanting both of us to take the time and space to understand each other, to be sure that despite all the highs and lows, the joys and stresses of life, this was what we wanted and the right time for it. And we did. We chose each other. It’s okay that I knew exactly what I wanted. And it was equally okay that he wanted time to think all the practical things of life through and be sure. That didn’t change our love in any way. I am all heart and he is the thinker- and we need that in each other’s lives. For us, marriage was never about a proposal, getting down on one knee or putting a ring on a finger. That’s the decorative part. For us, it was about building a life and a future together. And I think we did that beautifully so far,” she added.

Rashmika also questioned how being obsessed with someone you love could ever be a bad thing, proudly admitting that she’s obsessed with Vijay.

“Find someone you would go to any lengths for, someone who would do the same for you. And yes, I am OBSESSED with my man. When did that become a bad thing? If I’m not IN LOVE with the man I’m marrying, then why in the world would I marry him? He’s going to be my companion for life. My friend through the ordinary days and the extraordinary ones. The father of my children. The man I grow old with. Find a man who loves you so beautifully that even after you’re married, you’d still want to tell him, ‘Let’s get married.’ I would do it a thousand times- 100 is nothing. It’s really that simple,” she wrote.Rashmika urged everyone to refrain from speaking ill of her or her family, making it clear that she wouldn’t tolerate any disrespect towards them.
“Bitch about me all you want. I can take it. But talking about my family without knowing them? That’s not feminism. That’s bullying dressed up as feminism. Feminism was never about putting someone else down or establishing superiority, whether you’re a man or a woman. It was always about having the freedom to choose your own life and taking charge of it. I took charge of mine,” she expressed.

In her note, Rashmika also opened up about how Vijay has always been by her side through thick and thin.“Right now, I am the happiest I have ever been. And I hope you can see that in my face, in the joy I’ve felt since getting married, in my performances, in my films, and simply in the way I live my life.I am happy. I am content. I am blessed. And the fact that some people would rather believe random narratives, misleading edits and absolute lies created on the internet that believe what I say about my own life is honestly a little creepy. When I snap a bone, you aren’t there. He is. When my stomach hurts every month, you aren’t there. He is. When I need to go to the hospital, you aren’t there. He is. When I wake up in the middle of the night with anxiety, you aren’t there. He is. And when I break down, I don’t have your shoulder to cry on. I have his. So please, don’t worry about me or him. I genuinely wish and pray that you find someone you love who loves you just as deeply. And if that isn’t what you want for yourself, that’s completely fine too. Live the life that makes you happy,” she said.

<g stroke="none" stroke-width="1" fill="none" fill-rule="evenodd"><g transform="translate(-511.000000, -20.000000)" fill="#000000"><g></g></g></g>

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Rashmika Mandanna (@rashmika_mandanna)

Rashmika concluded her note with a shout out to her fans who have always loved her and supported her.“And it rewarded me with immense love ….And to some of my Kannadiga friends… Ahhh, how lovely it is to know that I’m still so deeply etched in your hearts even after 10 years. One of the moments that drew particular attention was Vijay’s revelation that Rashmika had to propose to him nearly 100 times before he agreed to marry her.
Reacting to this, many social media users labelled Vijay “red flag.”
Amid the ongoing controversy, Rashmika on Monday penned a lengthy note, calling out the trolls in a dignified way.
She emphasised that their decision to marry was never about a grand proposal or a timeline, but about consciously choosing to build a life together.
The conversation was about him wanting both of us to take the time and space to understand each other, to be sure that despite all the highs and lows, the joys and stresses of life, this was what we wanted and the right time for it.And we did.
It’s really that simple,” she wrote.
Rashmika urged everyone to refrain from speaking ill of her or her family, making it clear that she wouldn’t tolerate any disrespect towards them.
In her note, Rashmika also opened up about how Vijay has always been by her side through thick and thin.
“Right now, I am the happiest I have ever been.
Rashmika concluded her note with a shout out to her fans who have always loved her and supported her.
“And it rewarded me with immense love ….And to some of my Kannadiga friends… Ahhh, how lovely it is to know that I’m still so deeply etched in your hearts even after 10 years. For you to still be celebrating me after all this time… truly, I’m blessed! Love to all those who celebrate love and joy. And to everyone else… please find something that makes you happy, too,” she signed off.
Rashmika and Vijay tied the knot in Udaipur on February 26, 2026

New Delhi: The auspicious occasion of Dussehra or Dasara is a major Hindu festival marking the end of Navratri and Durga Puja, celebrating the victory of good over evil —such as Lord Rama's win over Ravana and Goddess Durga's defeat of Mahishasura. Kantara fame actor and filmmaker Rishab Shetty marked the Dasara festivity with a family visit to Kollur, accompanied by his wife, Pragathi Shetty, and their children. It is observed on the tenth day of the waxing moon (Shukla Paksha) in the month of Ashvin, the seventh in the Hindu lunisolar calendar, and falls in the Gregorian calendar months of September or October.

Vijayadashami is observed for different reasons and celebrated in various ways in different parts of India and other countries, including Nepal.

In the southern, eastern, northeastern, and some northern states of India, Vijayadashami marks the end of Durga Puja, commemorating goddess Durga's victory against Mahishasura to restore and protect dharma. In the northern, central, and western states, it marks the end of Ramlila and commemorates the deity Rama's victory over Ravana.

Alternatively, it also marks a reverence for one of the aspects of Maa Durga.

Following the massive global blockbuster success of the 2023 action-drama Jailer, expectations are soaring sky-high for its eagerly awaited sequel, Jailer 2. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the high-octane spectacle brings back 'Superstar' Rajinikanth in his iconic role, alongside an impressive ensemble cast that includes legendary stars like Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, and Mithun Chakraborty. Slated to hit the big screen as a major theatrical event, the sequel promises even bigger action and an expanded cinematic universe. Joining this stellar star cast is actor and former pageant queen Apeksha Porwal, who plays a key role in the film's climax sequence.

In an exclusive conversation with Zee News Digital, Apeksha Porwal opened up about her experience sharing screen space with Rajinikanth, preparing for her action-heavy role, and transitioning from beauty pageants to big-budget cinema.

Excerpts from the conversation:

Q. How does it feel to step into a massive, high-profile franchise like Jailer 2 alongside Superstar Rajinikanth?

"It feels like a dream. I am extremely grateful to get to be a part of this highly successful franchise. Rajinikanth is a myth, a legend; he is larger than life and to get to work with him is absolutely a dream. And to work with Nelson Sir and get to be a part of the universe he creates."

Q. What was it like sharing set space and observing screen legends like Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff?

"Because our climax sequence was shot over a number of days, I actually got to share set space with Rajini Sir over a few days. He is an institution in himself, and there was so much to learn by just observing him. He is the humblest superstar I have ever seen and is so extremely kind to everyone around. He has an unmatched aura. I realised his greatness over years and years comes from the human being he is. He is extremely dedicated to the scene.

I also got to work alongside Mithun Sir. In fact, there’s a moment where I had to knock the gun out of his hand. Being an action legend himself, he was also gracious enough to give me little tips to look more stylised and was kind to speak to me."

Q. Did Superstar Rajinikanth offer you any advice or guidance on set during filming, and what was your biggest takeaway from working alongside him?

"He is an absolute inspiration, and my biggest takeaway was literally from observing his humility and kindness. He emanates a kind of peace, positivity and aura that is unmatched."

Q. From winning Miss India Delhi 2015 and Miss Teen India International 2009 to being 2nd runner-up at Miss Diva 2017, what was the transition like?

"Being a Miss India was a childhood dream. I worked for it for years starting from teenage pageants to multiple pageants in the middle to finally having the crown on my head. I am glad little Apeksha got to live that dream."

Q. How many hours of physical and action training went into preparing for your role in the film?

"I am quite a fitness enthusiast and have been training in martial arts for the past couple of years, including katana, nunchucks, long stick, kickboxing, etc. I honestly love the art form and enjoy ancient weapons. I also go to the gym 5-6 days a week. So I pretty much maintained that during the filming. I would also finish my shoot days, go to the gym, then for a quick swim for cardio, get a quick steam in and then sleep. That was pretty much my routine every day in Chennai."

Q. With Jailer 2 poised to be a massive theatrical spectacle, what kind of roles or genres are you hoping to explore next?

"I am hoping to explore everything! I have two projects that I am working on as lead currently that are in a completely different avatar. To explore different characters in well-written stories is the thing that excites me the most as an actor."

Q. You’ve worked across OTT, Hindi feature films (Badhaai Do), and international series like Slave Market with MBC Studios. How does navigating international sets differ from big-budget Indian cinema?

"The Arabic web series Slave Market was also a big-budget project and a period drama with massive sets and a huge star cast. So in that sense it was also a big budget experience. At the end of the day, whether international or Indian, I believe today, the story matters more than anything else, and as an actor, that’s what matters to me as well, whether big budget or independent. The only difference that can sometimes come is a slight language barrier, but navigating that is a wonderful part of the experience itself!"

Actor Apeksha Porwal spoke exclusively with Zee News Digital about her experience sharing screen space with Superstar Rajinikanth in Jailer 2, her intense physical and martial arts training for the film, and her journey from beauty pageants to big-budget cinema.

Chennai: The makers of director Mysskin’s eagerly awaited action thriller ‘Train’, featuring actor Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, have now announced that their film will hit screens on December 4 this year.

It may be recalled that the film has already been cleared by the Censor Board for release with an U/A certificate.

Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu, whose production house V Creations is producing the film, took to his social media timelines to drop the update.

Thanu wrote, "Get ready for the ride!#Train storms into cinemas worldwide on 'DECEMBER 4'!"

A couple of months ago, Thanu had announced the news that the film had been cleared by the Censor Board for release. He had then said, "Train censored U/A."

For the unaware, director Mysskin's fast-paced action thriller, 'Train', featuring actor Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, has triggered huge interest in fans and film buffs ever since the makers released a teaser recently.

The high octane 43-second teaser shows a speeding train under the control of some vicious people. Scared passengers fearing for their lives look on as one man (Vijay Sethupathi) wages a lone battle. It's evident from the teaser that the train, which resembles a speeding monster, is not halting at any station that it is scheduled to stop at. More significantly, those who seem to have taken control of the train seem to have come well prepared. What is their mission? Who are these people? And who importantly is the person trying to take them on? Like all other Mysskin thrillers, 'Train' too promises to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

Train, which is being produced by V Creations and directed by Mysskin, will feature a host of stars including Nasser, Shruti Haasan, Yugi Sethu, Narain, KS Ravikumar, Sampath Raj, Kalaiyarasan, Ira Dayanand and Preethy Karan.

The film has cinematography by Fowzia Fathima and music by Mysskin himself.

Interestingly, Narain in a post on social media last year had released pictures of himself on the sets of Train. The pictures revealed that he was playing a police officer in the film. The disclosure led to speculation if whether Mysskin was attempting to build a Mysskin Cinematic Universe with Train. The reason for the speculation was that Narain had also played the role of a cop in Mysskin’s superhit film ‘Anjaathey’. However, there has been no confirmation regarding this.

The film has cinematography by Fowzia Fathima and music by Mysskin himself.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor will be next seen in the upcoming film ‘Lambodhara 2.0’ helmed by Simple Suni. The film is a bilingual social thriller, and will be released theatrically in both Kannada and Hindi on November 20, 2026.

Producer Mahaveer Jain has joined forces with the makers to present the film under his banner, Mahaveer Jain Films.

Talking about the same, Mahaveer Jain said in a statement, “I am extremely impressed by Lambodhara 2.0 and its unique exploration of happiness and artificial intelligence. It is wonderful to see Kannada cinema experimenting with such ambitious ideas. The film raises an important question: are we becoming happier because of technology, or losing control over our own happiness? I strongly believe this film deserves to reach audiences across India, and we are happy to present it”.

The collaboration materialised after director Simple Suni met Mahaveer Jain to share the vision, scale, and making of the film. Blown away by its fresh theme and the integration of a real humanoid robot on screen, Jain immediately backed the project for a pan-India reach, encouraging a simultaneous Hindi dub.

Director Simple Suni shared, “We have made a high-concept science-fiction film exploring happiness, artificial intelligence, and the influence of technology on human life. One of its biggest attractions is JIA, a real humanoid robot playing a character in the film, which we believe is a first-of-its-kind attempt in Indian cinema. Mahaveer Ji was extremely impressed by the concept and encouraged us to release it in Hindi as well. We are delighted to have Mahaveer Jain Films present our movie”.

On Monday, Simple Suni took to his Instagram, and shared a picture with the film’s team. He wrote in the caption, “r2.0.
