On his birth anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath honored the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is regarded as the Iron Man of India. He also congratulated the residents of the state on National Unity Day and encouraged unity in today’s troubled times. In a statement on the X platform, the chief minister pointed out that the unity of India and its integrity is a holy responsibility of all Indians owing to Sardar Patel’s unique vision and leadership style.

Nation first principles impart modern governance

He stressed that the life of Sardar Patel embodies the idea that unity is what gives a nation strength—the concept forming the basis of governance policy entitled Nation First.

Legacy of unity: Life of Sardar Patel, who selflessly served the country, is a source of inspiration for creation of the principle of Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat. Sacred Mission: It will be the sacred responsibility of every citizen to ensure the integrity of the country, which Sardar Patel devoted his whole life to uphold.

Key tenets: The only thing which brings strength to a nation is unity, which is achieved through preference of national interests to any other regional or sectional ones.

Double-engine governance brings back social harmony in UP

Comparing the present-day administrative situation with the previous one during the pre-2017 period, CM Yogi spoke about the shift experienced through governance changes in the state.

According to him, before 2017, politics was characterized by appeasement, casteism, and dynastic politics which weakened nationhood and destroyed social harmony in the country.

Thanks to PM Modi's guidance, double-engine governance in the state made 'Nation First' and 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' the central motto of governance, which was aimed at restoring social unity in the country and moving forward Sardar Patel's mission.

'Run for Unity' activates citizens of Uttar Pradesh

Calling citizens of the state for active involvement in 'Run for Unity' initiatives, the CM called the procession an opportunity to establish unity in everyday life.

He pointed out that every step of people participating in the run represents their commitment to national integrity and promises to put 'Nation First, Always First' into practice.
