India pacer Arshdeep Singh is on the verge of creating history in T20 International cricket, with the left-arm fast bowler just two wickets away from becoming the first Indian to claim 150 wickets in the format.Arshdeep will have an opportunity to reach the landmark when India take on New Zealand in the third T20I of the five-match series at Wellington's Hnry Stadium on Tuesday. India enter the contest with a 2-0 lead and will look to secure the series with another victory.The 27-year-old has taken 148 wickets in 101 T20I matches at an average of 20.41 and an economy rate of 8.65. His tally also includes a five-wicket haul, underlining his consistency as one of India's leading wicket-taking options in the shortest format.Arshdeep currently leads India's wicket-taking charts in T20Is and ranks 10th on the all-time list. He has also made a promising start to the ongoing series against New Zealand, claiming three wickets across the first two matches.Since making his international debut during India's tour of England in 2022, Arshdeep has established himself as a key member of the team's pace attack.His performances against the West Indies, where he picked up seven wickets in five matches, helped strengthen his case for selection in India's squad for the 2022 Asia Cup.
