Former India captain Harmanpreet moved up two places to eighth among ODI batters, while Deepti climbed four spots to 23rd in the same category. Both players scored centuries in the second ODI, earning significant gains in the rankings.
Harmanpreet Kaur etched her name further into Indian women’s cricket history by scoring her eighth ODI century and moving past Mithali Raj on the all-time list for India Women.
After Pratika Rawal made 61, Harmanpreet (126) and Deepti (106 not out) shared a record 153-run stand for the fifth wicket to power India to 328/6 after an early wobble. Zimbabwe made a spirited start in reply through Modester Mupachikwa (49) and Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano (46), but Vaishnavi’s spell in the middle overs triggered a collapse as the visitors were bowled out for 207 in 48.5 overs.
