Jamia University protest

Jamias order withdraws disciplinary action against protesting students and promises an inquiry into the conduct of security staff. However, the administration has not set a deadline for approving the students union constitution, and the students demand for the proctors resignation has not been addressed.

According to the complaint, the MPs allegedly trespassed onto the campus and instigated unrest during the protest.

Following the day’s developments, the university administration issued a notification announcing that classes across all courses would move online with immediate effect.

The university said the decision had been taken as a precautionary measure to protect students on campus while ensuring that academic activities continued without disruption.
