Mahindra has launched a new Bold Edition for the Bolero SUV. It is an add-on accessory pack. It adds bronze accents on the outside and new upholstery inside. Here is what it offers.

    What's new
The Bold Edition brings a set of visual changes. On the exterior, you get bronze grille inserts and roof rails with bronze accents. The fog lamp surrounds are also bronze. The side cladding is dual-tone black and bronze. The ORVM applique is bronze too. You also get Bold Edition side badging and bronze 15-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the seats get dual-tone black and bronze leatherette upholstery. The pack also adds a rear-view camera and designer floor mats. Mahindra hasn’t shared prices for the Bold Edition yet. You can check with your nearest Mahindra dealership.

    Mahindra Bolero
The Bolero is one of the longest-running nameplates in India. It is one of the most popular SUVs in rural markets. Buyers like its rugged build, basic interior and strong reliability. The cabin is simple. It has a minimal dashboard, a four-spoke steering wheel and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

The feature list is also basic. You get manual AC, steering-mounted controls and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A USB Type-C charging port and power windows are also on offer. Safety kit includes dual airbags, ABS and reverse parking sensors. You also get a rear camera and seatbelt reminders for the first and second rows.

    Engine and specs
The Bolero uses a tough 1.5-litre diesel engine. It makes 76 PS of power and 210 Nm of torque. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The drivetrain is rear-wheel drive.

    Price and rivals
The Bolero costs between Rs 8.57 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It has no direct rival. If you want something a bit more modern with similar abilities underneath, take a look at the Bolero Neo.
