Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG gets 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests - Details

Mumbai: Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG has secured a 5-star safety rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests. The SUV scored 29.36 out of 32 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points in Child Occupant Protection (COP). The achievement builds on the safety credentials of the XUV 3XO, which secured a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating in November 2024.

The SUV comes equipped with over 35 standard safety features, including 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. Its dedicated CNG safety systems include integrated gas-leak detection that automatically switches the vehicle to petrol mode when a leak is detected.

Launched in October 2026, the XUV 3XO ZNG uses a 1.2-litre MPFi three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 111hp and 200Nm in both petrol and CNG modes, with a certified efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. It gets an underfloor twin-cylinder setup that ensures it retains a flat loading floor and 270 litres of usable boot space.

Features and rivals
The XUV 3XO CNG offers dual 10.25-inch displays, leatherette seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 6-speaker sound system, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and LED headlamps and taillamps. It competes mainly with the CNG versions of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the Tata Nexon.
