Ramayana Part 1 adapts the ancient saga centred around the Trinity Gods: Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the transformer). As the celestial and mortal realms verge on turmoil, Vishnu takes an avatar on Earth to restore cosmic order.
Ranbir Kapoor leads the project as Lord Rama, alongside Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana. Audiences and critics alike have praised the film's grand scale, impressive visual effects, and classic storytelling.
Mounted on a reported budget between Rs 4,000 crore and Rs 4,800 crore ($420–500 million), Ramayana Part 1 ranks among the most expensive projects in Indian cinematic history.
Designed as a grand two-part cinematic event, the first instalment hit screens in November 2026, with Part 2 slated for release during Diwali 2027.
