Hyundai recently launched the Bayon at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the brand's second compact SUV, sitting alongside the Creta. To stand apart from its sibling, the Bayon gets a new design language, a crossover-like stance, a premium interior and a few extra features. Even so, some features are missing, especially when you look at the latest rivals. Here are the top five we wish it had.
1. Dual-zone climate control
Dual-zone climate control is becoming common in this segment, and that is good news. It makes the cabin more comfortable and convenient. Rivals like the Sierra, Seltos and even the Duster offer it. The Bayon should have it too.

2. Rear window sunshades
This is a simple feature, but it makes a big difference in our hot summers. Hyundai has surprisingly left it out of the Bayon. That is odd, because the Venue sits below the Bayon and still gets sunshades.
3. Powered tailgate
A powered tailgate is handy if you take long road trips or make lots of airport runs. The Victoris and Curvv offer it. It also makes life easier. You press a button to open and close the boot, so you don’t have to slam it shut.

4. Head-up display
A head-up display projects your speed, navigation and tachometer onto the windshield. You don’t need to take your eyes off the road. It looks cool, and it adds a layer of safety. Hyundai talks a lot about safety on the Bayon, so this feels like a miss. The Grand Vitara, the Hyryder and even the smaller Fronx offer it.
5. Power-adjustable co-driver seat
The Bayon has an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, but the co-driver seat only gets manual slide and recline adjustment. This is not a big miss. Still, the Taigun and Kushaq have been offering a power co-driver seat since 2023.
