SBI recruitment 2026: Applications open for 6 AI and analytics posts, pay up to Rs 1.6 crore

The State Bank of India has opened applications for six senior specialist posts in artificial intelligence, analytics and technology. The bank's Central Recruitment and Promotion Department in Mumbai is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for Specialist Cadre Officer roles on a fixed-term basis.

Posts on offer

The bank has one vacancy each for General Manager and Chief AI Officer, DGM (Risk and Operational Analytics), DGM (AI Governance and Compliance), DGM (Data Engineering, Model Application Development and AI Ops), AI Solution Architect and Enterprise AI Architect.

Age limit

• General Manager and Chief AI Officer: 40 to 55 years.
• All three DGM posts: 35 to 50 years.
• AI Solution Architect and Enterprise AI Architect: 30 to 45 years.

Experience and qualifications

The roles are aimed at experienced professionals. The DGM data engineering post asks for at least 10 years in banking, BFSI or IT, including two years or more in a senior leadership role.

That role covers data engineering, AI and ML application development, MLOps, enterprise integration and technology transformation, and it involves leading a sizeable team.

For the architect posts, the AI Solution Architect needs a bachelor's or master's degree in fields such as computer science, IT, data science or AI, plus eight years of overall experience.

At least three of those years must be in AI or analytics solutioning, digital transformation, technology consulting or solution architecture.

The Enterprise AI Architect also needs eight years in technology, including three in enterprise, platform, data or AI architecture on large AI and ML systems.

Application fee

The fee is ₹750 for General, EWS and OBC candidates.
