Ramayana box office collection day 2: Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic epic Ramayana Part 1 has hit a major milestone, crossing the Rs 200 crore mark globally within just two days of its theatrical debut on November 5, 2026. The period drama features a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey. Audiences and critics alike have praised the film's grand scale, impressive visual effects, and storytelling.

Breakdown of domestic and international earnings

According to industry tracking portal Sacnilk, Ramayana registered a domestic net collection of Rs 48.05 crore on its second day across 23,316 shows nationwide.

    • Hindi: Rs 35.50 crore (19,859 shows)

    • Kannada: Rs 5.15 crore (904 shows)

    • Telugu: Rs 4.75 crore (1,530 shows)

    • Tamil: Rs 1.50 crore (577 shows)

    • Malayalam: Rs 1.15 crore (446 shows)

This brings the total domestic net earnings to Rs 112.90 crore, translating to an estimated gross domestic total of Rs 134.80 crore.

Over the same two-day period, international audiences contributed significantly to the momentum. The film collected ₹35.00 crore overseas on Day 2, lifting its cumulative overseas gross to ₹86.25 Cr. Combined with domestic gross earnings, the worldwide gross total currently stands at Rs 221.05 crore.

Audience interest remains high, with an estimated 1,856,029 tickets sold on Day 2 alone. That brings the total footfall across its run to 4,381,804 tickets sold nationwide.

    Retelling timeless mythological epic

Ramayana Part 1 adapts the ancient saga centred around the Trinity Gods: Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the preserver), and Shiva (the transformer). As the celestial and mortal realms verge on turmoil, Vishnu takes an avatar on Earth to restore cosmic order.

Ranbir Kapoor leads the project as Lord Rama, alongside Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana.

    Production budget and cinematic vision

Mounted on a reported budget between Rs 4,000 crore and Rs 4,800 crore ($420–500 million), Ramayana Part 1 ranks among the most expensive projects in Indian cinematic history. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, the film has a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes and has received a 'U' certification for theatrical release.

The story is designed as a two-part cinematic event, with the first instalment released in November 2026 and Part 2 slated for Diwali 2027.
