Rise & Fall 2 episode update: Gautam Gulati was crowned the new Ultimate Ruler on Rise and Fall Season 2 following a series of strategic eliminations and a high-stakes hockey challenge in the Red Room, defeating co-contenders Rishabh and Manish.

The latest episode saw a complete shift in the Tower’s power hierarchy after Gulati executed a last-second buzzer swap to claim victory over his fellow contestants.

Strategic eliminations in Red Room

The episode began in the Red Room, where Rulers were tasked with using strategy rather than physical strength to eliminate competitors from the race for the crown.

Manish and Jashwanth initially agreed that Rishabh was capable of challenging outgoing Ultimate Ruler Niharika Tiwari. However, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Gautam Gulati were tasked with choosing between Manish and Jashwanth, ultimately deciding to eliminate Jashwanth. The decision led to an immediate argument between Jashwanth and Choudhary regarding a prior understanding between them.

Further disagreements emerged when Rishabh declined to support Niharika's proposal to eliminate Gulati. Following negotiations, Niharika and Rishabh reached an agreement that resulted in Choudhary's elimination instead, leaving Gulati, Rishabh, and Manish as the final three contenders.

Soapy hockey challenge and buzzer swaps

The final phase of the competition featured a hockey-style task set on a soapy surface, where contestants defended goalposts using shields while attempting to score against rivals. Each Worker chosen to assist in the task deducted Rs 1 lakh from the show's Prize Pot. Gulati selected Irina, Manish chose Shehzad, and Rishabh picked Karan, with Swara taking on the role of scorekeeper.

The task included a special Red Room rule requiring each finalist to execute two buzzer swaps, which interchanged their goalposts and scores with another player. During the match, Shehzad sustained an injury and was replaced by Sara, while Jashwanth took over scorekeeping duties.

After initial leads by Gulati and Manish, Rishabh temporarily took the top position following a score swap. In the closing seconds of the match, Gulati used his final buzzer swap with Rishabh, securing the highest score when time expired.

Power shift and reactions

Following the victory, Gulati officially assumed the position of Ultimate Ruler. The result drew mixed reactions from the housemates, while Niharika expressed frustration with Rishabh for failing to secure the title despite her earlier strategic decisions.
