The Noida Traffic Police issued a comprehensive traffic advisory effective from November 5 to November 8, 2026, to manage the heavy festive rush during Dhanteras and Diwali.
The Noida Traffic Police has published a large traffic advisory in effect from 5th November to 8th November 2026 to ease traffic jams around commercial centers on Dhanteras and Diwali. The traffic management tactics include places with much foot traffic such as Sector-18 Atta Market, the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and Dadri. The government has established strict bans on medium and heavy cargo vehicles running around the region.
Traffic diversions in Sector-18 Atta Market
To direct the flow of cars and pedestrians going to Sector-18 and Atta Market as the number of foot traffic increases, traffic police will take extra measures, including:
Attapir Chowk to Atta Chowk: Cars heading toward Atta Chowk are required to take a left turn at Attapir Chowk, turn right at Rai Residence Chowk, and make a U-turn under the elevated roadway in front of the Cambridge School.
Atta Chowk to Attapir: For those going toward Attapir, the procedure will involve a left turn at Atta Chowk, passing GIP Mall in front, making a U-turn under the Film City Flyover, and continuing through DLF or Center Stage Mall.
How to reach Sector-18 Metro Station: Cars from the Film City Flyover and Sector-18 Gurudwara will follow the Sector-18 Underpass to reach their destination.
No-entry restrictions on expressways and Dadri region
Goods vehicles face strict entry limits across key expressways and industrial corridors throughout the four days:
Noida-Greater Noida Expressway: Heavy, medium, and light goods vehicles remain restricted under existing no-entry orders.
Dadri Corridor: Freight vehicles cannot operate between Luharli Toll and the NTPC T-junction.
Local bypass rerouting: Vehicles coming from Railway Road in Dadri will be diverted toward the Bypass T-junction before the Railway Flyover, routing traffic through the NTPC T-junction.
Designated parking & official helpline contacts
Traffic authorities strongly advise against roadside parking in market zones and recommend using Metro services or designated multi-level parking garages.
