India all-rounder Hardik Pandya made headlines off the cricket field after winning a baseball home-run challenge against popular YouTuber MrBeast, earning a prize of USD 100,000 (approximately Rs 95 lakh). Pandya, however, chose not to keep the winnings and donated the entire amount to charitable causes.
The challenge featured in a video by Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, who brought together several high-profile athletes from different sports. The lineup included basketball stars LeBron James and Caitlin Clark, footballer Erling Haaland, gymnast Simone Biles and figure skater Alysa Liu.
Pandya stepped away from his usual cricketing role to take part in a baseball home-run challenge. Despite having no prior experience playing the sport, the Indian all-rounder defeated MrBeast to claim the $100,000 prize.

The challenge involved hitting baseballs out of the park, with Pandya required to hit three balls beyond the boundary. Indian YouTuber CarryMinati was also part of the segment.
While the contest was different from a regular baseball match, Pandya's power-hitting skills helped him complete the challenge and secure the prize money.
The biggest talking point came after Pandya's victory, as he decided to donate the entire prize money rather than keep it for himself.
The amount was directed towards charitable causes, with Community Streeties India and ADAPT named in connection with the donation. The organisations are associated with animal welfare, while the contribution was also reported to support underprivileged children and dogs in need.
Pandya's decision added a charitable dimension to his appearance in the video, which brought together prominent athletes from across the sporting world.
Pandya's appearance in the challenge comes amid an extended period away from international cricket. He last represented India in the 2026 T20 World Cup final against New Zealand in Ahmedabad on March 8.
The all-rounder has also faced injury setbacks during his attempted return to competitive cricket. A fresh right-shin injury ruled him out of the white-ball tour of New Zealand, according to reports in September.
Pandya has not featured in competitive cricket since the 2026 Indian Premier League season, with his last appearance coming on May 24.
