India move ahead of Bangladesh in WTC standings
Before the first Test, Bangladesh occupied fourth place with a points percentage (PCT) of 55.56, having won three of their six matches and drawn one. India were fifth with a PCT of 51.52 after recording five wins and two draws in 11 matches.
However, Bangladesh's defeat reduced their PCT to 47.62, allowing India to move ahead of them in the standings. The West Indies, meanwhile, improved their PCT from 20.83 to 26.92, moving closer to seventh-placed Sri Lanka, who have a PCT of 33.33.
The victory also strengthened the West Indies hopes of improving their position before the end of the current WTC cycle.

West Indies captain Roston Chase said his team had travelled to Bangladesh with the aim of winning both Tests and climbing the standings.
"Yeah, well, we came here with a goal to win these two Test matches to go up in the rankings. We want to finish at least sixth or fifth in the table. And to do that, we need to win these two matches," Chase said after the victory.
The West Indies will look to build on their opening-Test success as they pursue a higher finish in the championship standings.
