Redmi K100 launches on October 27: Here's everything Xiaomi has revealed

Xiaomi is getting ready to launch the Redmi K100 in China, the third phone in the series. The K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max have already launched in China. The new model arrives on October 27. The brand has now shared more details on its social media pages, including the main camera, the design and some gaming features.

Redmi K100 details

It will get a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a hole-punch cutout. Two Weibo posts from the brand confirm an IP68-rated design. The 6.83-inch display was revealed in an earlier leak. It will have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader built into the screen. A previous leak said it is an OLED panel.

The phone gets two symmetrical speakers. It also has seven antennas for better connectivity. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel sensor that Xiaomi calls Light and Shadow Hunter 800. The sensor measures 1/1.55 inches and has an f/1.68 aperture.

This is a gaming-focused phone. It will support native 165fps gameplay in more than 40 titles. A 0815 X-axis linear motor should give gamers better haptic feedback. An earlier leak also revealed that the phone will pack a 10,000mAh battery.

Xiaomi launched the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China on August 11. The base K100 Pro costs CNY 3,999, which is roughly Rs 57,000. The base K100 Pro Max costs CNY 4,499, which is roughly Rs 64,000.

The K100 Pro has a 6.59-inch display. The K100 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. The Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V chipset. The Pro Max uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The Pro has an 8,580mAh battery, and the Pro Max has a 9,070mAh unit.

Xiaomi has not announced an official India launch date or pricing for the Redmi K100 series.
