The Asian Champions Trophy is one of the major international field hockey tournaments in Asia, bringing together some of the continent's top national teams. Organised under the Asian Hockey Federation, the competition features separate men's and women's tournaments and has witnessed intense rivalries involving India, Pakistan, South Korea, Japan and China.

The women's tournament began in 2010, while the men's competition was introduced in 2011. Since then, the Asian Champions Trophy has grown into an important event on the Asian hockey calendar, with India emerging as the most successful team in the men's competition and sharing the record for the most women's title with South Korea.
