ISSF World Championships a key qualifying event for LA 2028

The ongoing competition in Doha is the first qualification event for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games and offers 36 quota places across the 12 individual Olympic shooting events, with three places available in each event.

According to a press release from the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), the Asian Games did not offer shooting quota places for the upcoming Olympics, making the Doha event India's first opportunity to secure Olympic berths.

Each country can secure a maximum of one quota place per event at this competition, meaning India could potentially secure quota places across all 12 Olympic shooting events.
