The Enforcement Directorate (ED) executed money laundering searches across four locations in Srinagar on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, targeting alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Over Ground Worker (OGW) Umar Adil Dar and his financial network.
The Enforcement Directorate launched a hard-hitting operation on Tuesday, conducting searches at four locations across Srinagar in a deepening investigation into alleged terror financing linked to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Officials confirmed the action targets Umar Adil Dar, who is alleged to have operated as an Over Ground Worker for LeT. Dar and his associates were earlier caught while carrying a large quantity of cash along with incriminating literature connected to the outfit. He had already spent nearly four years in jail for his alleged role in separatist and anti-India activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
The searches are focused on unearthing proceeds of crime, mapping financial networks and funding channels, and probing possible links with handlers across the border.
Investigators are treating the case as part of a broader effort to choke terror financing routes in the Valley. Operations were still underway, with further details expected as the probe intensifies.
